Had a few hours to spare so I drove over and launched at big A and headed N at 945 or so. Almost got to turn at the "mouth bar" and bmbmbbmbrrrrmr sandbar!! Was in about 10in of water. Got on TM and got it to spin off and within a few feet trolling motor was in 3+ ft so got me off the bar. Went up to fish old area behind Belleau Woods. 4th cast 3lber on the big colorado blade. THought it was going to get going, managed 2 othe shorts and 3 crappie ( was drifting the long poles) I was marking bait in 20-22ft but they would not hit much. The crappie were scattered. It was 6.86 miles up to that spot from big A. Turned around to go back and made it past where I was stuck and took in in about 40 -45 just enough to top swells. Came in dry and tied up. Backed truck down and went to get in boat, engine died. Mine will idle well usually so I tried to crank... nothing. Bulb was full of air, inline under hood dry... I was out of gas!! Guess that sender aint sendin to guage right!!

Wind s-sw 15-20
water 60-61
clarity 1ft

I talked to lake patrol guys at the boat show and he told me that they have the route into the west fork marked with buoys now. Is this not the case?
He also said that they were going to mark into the east fork pretty soon.

That would be great to get the channel marked from the mouth of Luces north past BJ,s.
How does the ramp look at Ponderosa? still shallow.

ponderosa is still shallow you need to stay in the middle
of the ramp to launch a big boat.
