I know anyone that has been out has seen them on the shorelines. Caught any good ones? Been hit and miss for me but like that early morning action. Hope this rain puts a little water in the lake as low as it is. Hopin to get out in the morning but may take the jon over to marina or something if there is a lot of current. Or may just get out the old halloween spinner bait and crank it for a bit looking for a big hungry bass.

Time for the catfishermen to hit the bulkheads
before sunrise . When the shad are running the
banks this time of the year it is easy to catch
a limit of catfish casting up close to the bulk
heads early mornings.

when the water is down this way it will cause the crappie
and bass to congregate on the deeper drops.

My big fish winner in LH Tourney last weekend was up there after some spawning shad. Threw up near bank and got bit by a 5.0 Even fish.

Good job, I had 3 keepers in the well at 656 and then shad went down and I had 1 more fish off a crank, I would have donated that day!!!

nice fish congrats on the big fish win.
when the shad are spawning they run the banks
early morning once the sun gets up the shad will go deeper
usually by 10 am they will be gone from the banks. The bass
and catfish will follow them deep.

Caught the first 30mins yesterday morning and since I could not go saltwater fishing I took and threw the spook instead. I got no takers on it but they would not hit a spinnerbait or a shadrap. I think a lot of gar are chasing them. At first light there were two small gaters harassing them near the ramp and Dunham. I tired couple other spots and got 2 small dinks only. Water was already 82 in a lot of places .Going to be a hot summer.
