With all the deer hunters out working on there stands
leaving the waters to the crappie fisherman.

the crappie are feeding well and starting their move north
towards their annual spawning flats. The crappie will not be holding
to the piles as much as they are starting to get out and chase the
shad feeding heavy trying to put on weight before winter and to
nourish the eggs they will be carrying.

long line and spider rigging should do well in the coming weeks & months
Red/ white has been doing good in the off colored water for me we have
the whole lake to ourselves now

SK has all the other boats working the north side of 1960.

LOL...... Those spot buzzards don't know those fish have fins and they use them daily...... Them searching for background spots will not put many crappie in their live well but if they paid attention to the info on how to locate fish they will have a repeated full year of crappie catching......

Is the water still chocolate milky? Last time I was there it looked really good, but the Crappie had lock jaw.

I am a follower - of the river channel. Mostly.

Yak the water looks sandy but not chocolate
it is clearing nicely fish are biting good. For the most part
you need to be moving a lot usually only 2 or three fish to
a pile for me i think most i caught was 8 from a pile.

Oh i know that was not directed at me Sk you have always
invited me to fish your spots when i am having a hard day
but most of the time i can find plenty piles holding fish.

I had put in at lake houston marina the other day after one of your vids
and saw 8 boats in the area where you were fishing at. Before that you
would hardly ever see a boat in that area. I just had to laugh., They would never
find your spots anyway . Even though you tell them you prefer the small stuff
most of them still would not stop on piles that small.
